Our Summer Reading celebration draws to an enchanting close with Flower and Flame presents: Strange Magic “Tales from the Arabian Nights,” August 19 at the downtown library (610 Quincy Street, upstairs). Children of all ages are welcome. We begin at 1 p.m. with the opportunity to meet have your photo taken with Princess Jasmine and Aladdin, provided by Seraphim Theatrical Entertainment.

At 2:30 p.m., be transported by the exotic sounds of Aladdin, Ali Baba, flying carpets and magic lamps as Flower and Flame’s narrator Darrel Fickbohm provides dramatic storytelling with interludes of live music. Music is provided by violinists Maggie Modzelewska and Jia Cao, Jeff Paul on oboe and John Pennington on percussion.
