The gossip website says Hilton was released on $100,000 bail and directed to surrender his passport and not leave the state of California.

Witnesses tell TMZ the 20-year-old grandson of the late hotelier, Conrad Hilton, taunted flight attendants with profanity-laced threats during the July 31 flight and allegedly grabbed a flight attendant’s shirt and screamed, “I could get you all fired in 5 minutes. I know your boss! My father will pay this out. He has done it before. Dad paid $300k last time.”

Witnesses also say that at one point during the flight, Hilton viciously punched the bulkhead of the plane and screamed “I will f***ing own anyone on this flight; they are f***ing peasants.”

According to TMZ, Hilton was so out of control, children on the plane were crying.  Witnesses say they could smell marijuana seeping out of the bathroom and believe Hilton was the culprit.

After Hilton fell asleep, the captain authorized crew members to handcuff him to his seat.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Hilton admitted to taking a sleeping pill before the flight. Hilton’s attorney, Robert Shapiro, confirms to the website that Conrad took a sleeping pill before the flight and he wasn’t himself.

TMZ reports Hilton voluntarily entered a 30-day inpatient drug and alcohol treatment program immediately after the in-flight incident.
