Rodolfo Martinez/Bravo(LOS ANGELES) — Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards was arrested Sunday for alleged shoplifting at a Target in Van Nuys, California, local police told ABC News.
Richards was privately arrested by Target loss prevention security for allegedly stealing more than $600 in merchandise. She was later booked at the Van Nuys station and then released early Monday on bail, police said. The case will now be given to detectives — they’ll present the information to the Los Angeles City Attorney, who will decide if charges should be filed.
This isn’t the actress’ first run-in with the law. In April, she was arrested for public intoxication, trespassing, resisting an officer and battery on a police officer after an incident at the Beverly Hills Hotel. In June, she reportedly pleaded not guilty to the charges. She also went to rehab after that arrest.
In June, it was reported that Richards wouldn’t be returning to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills due to her sobriety issues.
