Eddie had an idea to do something that Bobby Bones definitely thought was strange.
Eddie wanted to attend Vanderbilt University’s graduation ceremony after learning that Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin would likely be there supporting their daughter during commencement. Before Eddie explained his reasoning, Bones immediately called the idea “creepy.” Eddie shared that he saw reports that Paltrow and Martin’s daughter was graduating from Vanderbilt on Saturday and thought it would be interesting to attend the ceremony in hopes of seeing the celebrities in person.
He’s a big fan of Paltrow and thought it would be cool to see her and maybe meet her, along with Martin. Bones questioned the idea, pointing out that the event centered around their daughter’s graduation rather than a public celebrity appearance. Eddie defended himself by explaining that celebrity sightings with known locations and times are rare opportunities. Eddie also thought his son would enjoy seeing a famous actress in person because of his interest in movies. Despite his defense, Bones thought attending a graduation solely to look for a celebrity was crossing the line.
Despite his desire to go, Eddie admitted he didn’t end up going to the graduation because of family obligations including his wife’s birthday, Mother’s Day and his son’s basketball games.
