Eddie coaches his son’s 9-year-old basketball team and has a new member on his coaching staff. The team isn’t doing well, they are 1 and 4. The competition is harder than he expected and he’s having a hard time getting the kids to practice.
Jimmie Allen’s son is on his basketball team. Last Saturday during the game he heard someone scream his name in the crowd and it was Allen. He asked Eddie if he could talk to the kids during halftime. He gave them a peptalk that got them so pumped up, when they came back on the court, they scored 10 points! They still lost the game but Allen’s pep talk must’ve worked because their performance improved in the second half.
