Amy went to a local grocery store recently and there was a mishap at the self-checkout.
When Amy was scanning all of her items, she tried to scan about 4 different chocolate bars at $6 a piece. Each one wouldn’t scan on the register. So she scanned the rest of her items, and asked for an employee to come over and help her with the 4 chocolate bars that wouldn’t scan. The employee walked over and messed around on the register, but had no luck getting the chocolate bars to scan or pop up in the system. So she took the 4 candy bars and put them in Amy’s bag and said “Merry Christmas.”
Amy felt a bit uncomfortable when she was leaving the store, because she felt like she just took the items even though that’s not what happened.
