Parker McCollum Revealed the One Thing He Does After Every Performance

Parker McCollum is “having the best month of his life.” He stopped by The Bobby Bones Show to talk about all of the good things happening to him lately.

At the 2022 ACM Awards, McCollum won Best New Male Artist of the Year and he got to perform on stage, both of which happened for the first time in his career. When Miranda Lambert called him on Zoom to share the news ahead of the award show, McCollum admitted he thought it was just a typical Zoom interview because there was “no way” that he could have won the award. However, it was obviously the case he went on to accept the award and perform at the show. Now McCollum is about to get his second number 1 on country radio with his song “To Be Loved By You,” and he’s set to perform at his dream place Rodeo Houston to a sold out crowd of 70,000.

To top off the best March of his life, McCollum is getting married to his fiancé Hallie Ray Light at the end of the month. When discussing wedding details, McCollum shared that he hasn’t had a lot of say in the whole thing but it doesn’t bother him. He noted that majority of things they do together it’s often about him, so he wants their wedding day to be all about her. He did suggest that he and his groomsmen wear all black tuxes with black cowboy hats, but that idea didn’t quite work out.

Despite McCollum having such an epic March, he has no plans to slow down in his career. He confessed that in order to keep getting better, he records and watches every single one of his performances. He wants them to be perfect so after a show, he will get on his bus and watch the whole thing again. He hopes that in doing this, he can keep getting better throughout his career.

Parker McCollum performed some of his song “To Be Loved By You” and Bobby Bones had a surprise parody for him that they worked on together. Watch below!
