TMSG: Sixth-Grader Builds Lego Replica of Teacher

11-year-old Landen in Utah spent months creating a project for his favorite teacher.

Landen has a passion for Legos and wanted to show his teacher Mr. Seastrand just how much he means to him. So Landen downloaded his teacher’s picture from Google Classroom, and uploaded it to an app for pixel arts. Then he ordered individual pieces from Lego and used some of his own Lego blocks to start creating the piece.

He spent four months and over an estimated 10,000 Lego bricks to put together the 3D photo for his teacher. Landen then unveiled the portrait in Mr. Seastrand’s class at Meadow Elementary School last month for the school’s Teacher Appreciation Week. Landen told FOX Television Stations, “He always shows he cares about each individual student, and he’s very compassionate. He’s made a big difference in my life and I’ll never forget him.”
