Weeks ago, a program director with a radio station that airs the Bobby Bones Show asked phone screener Abby to send him an official version of the national anthem. Abby recorded a studio version, changed her artist name to Abby Leigh Anderson, and shared her new version with the show.
After The Bobby Bones Show played Abby Leigh’s studio version, several radio stations asked for the song to play in their cities. Because of all the radio stations playing Abby Leigh’s national anthem, her version started charting. The show has been watching the song climb the charts. As it sits currently, Abby Leigh’s national anthem is at number 71. So they decided to celebrate the number 71 chart achievement with a little party in the studio complete with cake, celebratory hats, and balloons.
