11-year-old Audrey Soape had a daddy-daughter dance coming up at her church in Round Rock, Texas. Unfortunately, she recently lost her father and grandfather so the whole situation was really hard.
Audrey’s mom Holly wanted to do something to brighten up her daughter’s spirits. Holly reached out to their favorite NFL player Anthony Harris. She asked if he could take Audrey to the dance.
Harris did more than say yes to taking Audrey to the dance, he showed up for her in a big way. Holly shared on Instagram that Harris escorted Audrey to the dance and he purchased her the “dress and shoes of her dreams.” Holly noted that the entire evening was a fairy tale and the smile never left Audrey’s face. Harris told news outlets, “You’ve got to cherish these moments. You never know how long we have here on this earth. The people that you care about and the people you love, show support for them.”
