RAPID CITY'S #1 FOR NEW COUNTRY KICK 104

TMSG: Woman Leaves $32K To Florida K-9 Unit For Bulletproof Vests

Before Pamela Mobbs passed in October 2020, she specified a special gift to her local Sheriff’s K-9 unit.
In her estate, Mobbs left a gift of $32,000 to go to the Volusia Sheriff’s K-9 Unit. She wanted the money to go toward buying more bulletproof dog vests and adding, and training more dogs. Jane Mobbs said her mother had a soft spot for German Shepherds because when she was a child, her grandfather had a fierce guard dog who protected Mobbs and she cherished him.
Mobbs further found love for law enforcement K-9s after Jane took her to a K-9 demonstration in Daytona Beach. Jane told WESH news station“She thoroughly enjoyed the K-9s and watching the officers handle them. My mother wholeheartedly believed all the K-9s should be fitted with bulletproof vests as they often go into uncertain areas first to help apprehend suspects. […] She would be so happy to know that she is making a difference in a dog’s well-being.”
