Abby Sings The National Anthem In Studio Ahead Of The St. Jude Marathon

Yesterday (November 9), The Bobby Bones Show found out that Abby was asked to sing the National Anthem at the St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon in Nashville. She is participating as a half-marathon runner and St. Jude hero. There will be around 17,000 runners in attendance and Abby would sing to that entire crowd before the run kicks off.

She said yes to doing it, so ahead of the big performance she sang the National Anthem on the show this morning (November 10). Abby sang it without any music, all A cappella. She got rave reviews from everyone on the show, besides Lunchbox who still believes she’s not good enough to sing in front of that many people.

Before she sang in front of the show members, Lunchbox had her sing snippets of the National Anthem to artists Gabby Barrett and Parker McCollum during the pre-CMA Awards interviews in hopes of getting them to discourage her from performing. However, both Barrett and. McCollum gave her great reviews as well. Barrett even offered up some advice from her own experience and told Abby that relaxing and breathing calmly beforehand helps vocals if she’s nervous.
