Abby Has A Dating Dilemma With Random Texter

Recently, Phone Screener Abby shared on The Bobby Bones Show about the difficulty of today’s dating world.

She told the show that she would meet people via dating apps and then they would ghost her after the first date. Bobby Bones suggested that she needed to not share everything on a first date to keep some mystery. She went back to the dating drawing board with the dating apps and Bones’ advice. But after the segment aired, some of the show’s listeners started hitting her up in her Instagram DMs. Most of which were not great dating prospects for Abby.

Then something different happened. She received a random text with a photo of a headshot of a firefighter posing in front of a fire engine from a phone number she didn’t know. After Abby ignored the text thinking it was an accident, the person sent a follow up text stating he sent it to the wrong number. Abby playfully responded back with fire emojis and it led to them having a text conversation where the guy admitted the photo was meant for the fire chief, for the website. It was all a total accident that he texted her.

At first it was thrown out that it was likely a scam, because Bones had situations where something similar happened to him while he was single and it turned out to be a scam/catfish situation. Amy thought it may just be a fate thing, that this person did really just randomly text Abby on accident. Then Morgan said something similar happened to her when she was single and she found out a listener of the show found her number on the Internet and pretended it was all random until finally admitted they knew her.

Mike D reversed the photo through a program on Google and found out it wasn’t a photo someone pulled from Google. This means that the person is likely real, and not a catfish.
