Bobby Bones and his fiancé Caitlin went out to eat at Nashville’s branch of Del Frisco’s Grille.
While they were waiting for their food, a country artist who was working as a waiter came up to the table. He handed Bobby his name and his Instagram handle on a coaster and asked him to hear his music, but also noted that Bones could throw away the coaster if he wanted to. Bones held onto the coaster and decided to call the artist known as Canaan Cox on the show this morning. During the phone call, Bones asked Cox what was going through his mind at the restaurant. Cox admitted that he blacked out during the interaction because he was so nervous, but after contemplating it for a long time he had finally decided to go up to Bones.
While talking on the phone, Bones listened to Cox’s music for the first time and then invited him to come play on The Bobby Bones Show this week. Cox was shocked at everything happening and is thrilled to come up and play the show.
