TMSG: Foster Dad Adopts 5 Siblings After Refusing To Keep Them Separated

Robert Carter from Ohio was separated from his siblings in foster care years ago and he didn’t want a group of brothers and sisters now to experience that same thing.

When he was just 12-years-old, Robert Carter was placed in a foster home and separated from his eight siblings. The experience caused him emotional trauma and now at 29-years-old, he didn’t want that to happen to a group of siblings. Carter became a foster parent in December 2018 to three boys and this year he insisted on reuniting the three boys with their two sisters.

After successfully bringing the siblings back together, Carter took it all a step further by adopting all five children as his own. This ensured that the siblings would get a chance to grow old together.

Carter told PEOPLE“I can’t even begin to try to put it into words what it means. Just the fact that they’re together, the fact that they have something that will help them remember their past… it’s beautiful to watch them grow up together and make memories together.”

Robert Carter adopted 5 children today. He spent some time in foster care himself and wanted to make sure all these siblings stayed together.
