TMSG: ‘Lasagna Mamas’ Have Fed Over 3K Families Across The Country

In March, when stay-at-home orders were mandated across the country due to the pandemic, mother Rhiannon Menn realized she could use her cooking skills for good.

Menn told TODAY“There were so many moms that I knew who had lost childcare, who had lost jobs. They were just feeling stressed out. And so literally one day, I was just like, I’m gonna make extra meals.”

So that’s what she did. Menn made extra meals of lasagna for families in her community. Her effort turned into “Lasagna Love,” an organization with nearly 500 “lasagna mamas” and papas across the country. The lasagna mamas and papas are spread out over 13 states and 266 cities, and collectively they’ve fed more than 3,000 struggling families. “Lasagna Love” allows anyone to sign up to make a lasagna for others or receive one right to their doorstep, with a kind note included.
