8-year-old Eagle Jayagoda wanted to do something special for his eighth birthday.
Eagle had launched the “Little Free Food Table” near his home, a miniature food pantry that’s stocked with food items for anyone struggling. He wanted to do more than just having a food table, so on his 8th birthday he transformed it into a 24-hour food pantry. Eagle put in the work to get food for his pantry, he recycles bottles to raise money to buy the food he’s giving away. Since launching his project, Eagle has been glad to see people taking items.
His mother said, “It’s a small thing that turned out positive. Eagle is super happy.”
