This Audio Test Reveals The Age Of Your Ears

During The Bobby Bones Show this morning (September 28), Bobby Bones decided to test the show members to see the age of their ears.

There’s an audio test from 2013 that’s making the rounds on the Internet again. It’s on YouTube and meant to be a screening tool for people, obviously not an actual audio test to determine if you need some kind of help for your hearing. AsapSCIENCE is the user that posted the video and shared a few different tests.

  • The first test: 8000 Hz. Average age of people who should hear this: everyone.
  • The second test: 12,000 Hz. Average age of people who should hear this: under 50-years-old.
  • The third test: 15,000 Hz. Average age of people who should hear this: under 40-years-old.
  • The fourth test: 16,000 Hz. Average age of people who should hear this: under 30-years-old.
  • The fifth test: 17,000 Hz. Average age of people who should hear this: under 24-years-old.
  • The sixth test: 18,000 Hz. Average age of people who should hear this: under 24-years-old.
  • The seventh test: 19,000 Hz. Average age of people who should hear this: under 20-years-old.

By the fifth test, everyone on the show couldn’t hear anything. Amy and Lunchbox couldn’t hear about the third test. Bobby couldn’t hear after the fourth test. EddieMorgan2, and Raymundo couldn’t hear after the fifth test.

Test yourself to see how your hearing is functioning:
