2020 has been difficult for many, especially seniors in living centers across the country.
So that’s why Buckner Villas in Austin, Texas decided it was time to spread some Christmas cheer by preparing holiday stockings for deployed service members. The senior residents teamed up with Operation Support Our Troops – America. They put together nearly 800 holiday stockings, with handwritten Christmas letters to go along with them. All of the stockings will soon arrive at the organization’s headquarters in Illinois where they were be sorted and shipped to service men and women around the world ahead of the holidays.
This is the fifth year Buckner Villas has participated in the program, making 2020 all the more special.
