Laine Hardy Recalls Moment John Stamos Offered Him A Sandwich

Laine Hardy called into The Bobby Bones Show and confessed that life after winning American Idol has definitely been a whirlwind for him.

It’s been over a year since Hardy won American Idol season 16. Now, he’s gracing the Idol stage again this Sunday (May 10) to perform “Life Is A Highway.” In talking with mentor Bobby Bones, Hardy feels like everything has been a blur since his big win. He shared that right after he won, he was on a flight to New York for 3 big morning show interviews and then went straight back to Hollywood for lots of meetings with the record label. He joked that he feels he’s been thrown into a washing machine and not put into the dryer for the past year. Now though, he says he’s on a slow drying phrase and things are becoming more clear.

Hardy plans to spend the majority of his time in Nashville. He would in Nashville already if it weren’t for the coronavirus pandemic, so in the meantime he’s spending time at home. When he’s finally able to make the big move, Hardy says new music will be coming shortly after.

Since American Idol, Hardy has had several performances and appearances, one of which is the reason behind his celebrity interaction with John Stamos, AKA Uncle Jesse from Full House. Hardy told Bones a story about the two of them being at a 4th of July show in Washington, D.C. and after the show they were sitting in a room with a lot of food everywhere. Stamos had two sandwiches and instead of wasting the half he wasn’t going to eat, he offered it to people around him, including Hardy. No big deal, just Laine Hardy eating John Stamos’ sandwich.
