Walker Hayes Is Excited People Are Experiencing The Realities Of Homeschool

Walker Hayes just dropped a new song called “Trash My Heart,” but that’s not the only feat he’s made in recent weeks. His song “You Broke Up With Me” went double platinum and while on The Bobby Bones Show during a virtual interview, Bobby Bones surprised Hayes with his honoring plaque.

The song going double platinum means that his song has sold 2 million copies, a big deal for Hayes and one he really treasures as he said to Bones “You know everything I’ve been through to get here.” As for his new song “Trash My Heart,” Hayes wrote it with some friends during a writer’s retreat and says he wanted to write a song that had no meaning whatsoever, he just wanted people to dance to it.

With everything going on right now in the world, Hayes said things are relatively normal at his home. His six children have always been homeschooled, so their homeschooling isn’t anything new to them. However, Hayes said his children want more entertainment than ever, they’re demanding a lot of fun from him. He also shared that he’s excited people are getting to see homeschooling for themselves now, noting that it’s a lot harder than it sounds.
