Normally Toys For Tots is the nation’s flagship children’s Christmas-time charity. However, the non-profit won’t be waiting for the holiday season this year to provide support.
Toys For Toys partnered up with Good360 to distribute two million toys, games, and books to families-in-need amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The non-profit said they’re deeply concerned about the virus and its “devastating impact on the lives of all Americans” and wanted to offer their assistance right now.
The ability to donate two million toys outside of the Christmas season was made possibly with big donations from companies Hasbro, Lego, Disney, Funko, Five Below, and Build-A-Bear. They hope these donations will help combat boredom, relieve anxiety in children, facilitate a return to normalcy, and even help with education in the homes right now.
