A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue firefighter was recently hospitalized due to COVID-19 and he is currently recuperation from complications. He was feeling isolated from the rest of the world until his fellow firefighters surprised him.
His fellow fire crew members from Station 26 decided to surprise him with a “Get Well Soon” visit from outside his hospital window. They used their fire truck ladder and approached the fourth-floor hospital window and help up signs that read “Get Well Soon” and “Your New Firehouse.”
The MDFR firefighter shared with CBS News how he felt upon receiving the heartfelt surprise,
“This is love. This is the only kind of love you can get from the brother and sisterhood at the fire house. This is another way to explain how this makes me feel.”
