Jo’s Top 5 Moments- “Our Country”- ACM

If you’re going to cancel an awards show in the middle of a pandemic, then do exactly what the Academy of Country Music (ACM) did last night. Absolutely stunning, suitable and memorable performances. Keith kicked it off, as he was originally slated to host this years awards, but with honesty and relatability he thanked those who are fighting this pandemic, then played an acoustic version of “Wasted Time” where he even said that song and its lyrics have taking on a different meaning at this time. I knew after his performace, we were in for an unforgettable night in country music. So, without further ado, here are my Top 5 Performances.

5. “Nobody But You” Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani- These two have the talent and chemistry to say the least! I’ve always been a fan of Gwens, way back in the day, No Doubt! 😉 This is a beautiful song and they did it justice.

4. “Humble & Kind” Tim McGraw- Amazing message in this song that fits perfectly with our current times. So awesome what technology is capable of allowing him to perform with his band mates. Let’s be honest too, Tim isn’t too hard to look at in this video.

3. “Last Time I Say Sorry” Kane Brown & John Legend- Kane and John should have collaborated a long time ago, stunning performance and song. I’ve been along time fan of John Legends so take a listen and be ready to fall in love.

2. “Blessings”- Florida Georgia Line- I honestly almost cried watching this performance as Tyler was surrounded by his wife and two adorable kids, while Brian shared this unforgettable moment with is wife and dog.

1. Kenny Rogers Tribute “Lucile” & “The Gambler”- Brad Paisley & Darius Rucker- Two perfectly selected iconic Kenny songs. These two gentleman are beyond talented and to take on some of the best ever to honor one of the best ever, they did Kenny justice.
