WATCH: Bobby Hosts The Grand Ole Opry Live Stream

Due to global events around the coronavirus pandemic, country music fans aren’t able to travel to Nashville. Instead of letting it ruin the traditions in music city, everyone is shifting their ideas to let the shows go on.

Since all concerts have been postponed or cancelled, artists have been live-streaming acoustic performances. The Grand Ole Opry decided to keep it’s traditions alive by not cancelling their Saturday night broadcast this past Saturday on March 21. However, instead of the show playing to a live audience, Brad PaisleyVince Gill, and Marty Stuart played to an empty Opry while being live-streamed.

The livestream allowed the Grand Ole Opry to keep it’s Saturday night live show streak, making the broadcast its 4,916th consecutive Saturday night broadcast. Bobby Bones hosted the live stream, where the Opry also featured a tribute to Kenny Rogers after the news broke of his passing earlier that day.
