On March 21st, The Rogers family announced on Kenny Rogers social media channels that Kenny Rogers passed away on the evening of March 20th at 10:25 p.m. at the age of 81. They shared that Rogers passed away peacefully at home from natural causes under the care of hospice and surrounded by his family.
Bobby Bones shared some of the big highlights of Kenny Roger’s career to start the first Bobby Bones Show after the news broke. Bones shared that he grew up listening to Kenny Rogers and hearing the news was definitely hard for many. Amy continued by sharing that her parents weren’t huge musical influences on her, but one artist that they did play consistently was Kenny Rogers. She said her favorite songs from him include “The Gambler,” and “Islands In The Stream.”
