At around 3:00 a.m. on March 13th, police were dispatched to 620 Latrobe Avenue for a report of a gunshot wound which was sustained in the area. On arrival, police were unable to locate an injured party. A short time later, police received word that the gunshot victim was now at 621 Watiki way. Police arrived and located a female with a gunshot wound to the leg. She was transported to the hospital for serious, non-life-threatening injuries. Another male was also located who had been grazed in the arm by a bullet, but declined medical attention. Police spoke to both individuals who were unable to give clear statements on the specific circumstances surrounding how the shooting had occurred. Detectives of the RCPD’s Criminal Investigation Division are continuing their follow up on this incident. It’s worth noting that police have no indication that this is related to the recent robbery at 620 Latrobe Avenue.
