TMSG: Body Cam Footage Shows Cops Helping Mother Celebrate Baby’s Birthday

During a random audit of police body cam videos, a supervisor found this interaction (Jan. 10) between Sgt. Nick Boney, Ofc. Jimmy Wilson, and a woman whose daughter had just turned one. Gwinnett County Police Department were doing a random audit of police body camera videos and during the search, a supervisor found a sweet interaction from January 10th. They shared an interaction between two officers and a woman on their Twitter page with the body cam footage.The video shows Sgt. Nick Boney go up to a woman on the street who was holding a bouquet of balloons. She was trying to get home to her family by walking home, and it was really cold out. Sgt. Boney offered to give the woman a ride home. During the ride, Sgt. Boney found out the woman was trying to get home to celebrate her daughter’s first birthday.
When they arrived at her home, Sgt. Boney had called on Officer Jimmy Wilson to bring a cake to the residence. After giving the mother the cake for the celebration, Sgt. Boney and Officer Wilson also went inside to stop by for a ‘hello’ and hugs from the sweet 1-year-old.
