Burglary

On February 17th at around 5:00 a.m., police were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of N. Maple Avenue for a report of a burglary that had just occurred. Information relayed to police indicated that two male subjects had been seen entering the residence and four firearms had been taken from the home. On arrival, police located two pairs of footprints in the freshly fallen snow leading away from the house. Police followed the track to a residence in the 200 block of E. Watertown Street. While officers were approaching the residence on E. Watertown, they heard the sound of a firearm being racked. With this information, more law enforcement units quickly converged on the home and a perimeter was formed. During the perimeter, two male subjects, identified as 19-year-old Bison Littlespottedhorse and 20-year-old Blake Twoeagle (both of Rapid City), exited the residence. They were detained. They would be later transported to the RCPD Criminal Investigations Division to speak with detectives. Following their interviews with detectives, they were both placed under arrest for First Degree Burglary before being transported to the Pennington County Jail. All four stolen firearms were also located by police inside the residence on E. Watertown Street.
