Animal Sanctuary Wanting To Socialize Rescue Pigs Through ‘Piggy Cuddles’

South Carolina farm animal rescue service Cotton Branch Farm Animal Sanctuary is looking to socialize 100 rescue pigs.

They shared a Facebook post asking pig fans to help them socialize their 100 adoptable residents by coming by to cuddle with them. The group wants to help prep the rehabilitated pigs from a horrific hoarding situation in Kentucky and get them the emotional support they need for their next homes.

Executive director of the rescue group Evan Costner said that the pigs don’t require too much socialization. They just need people to spend about an hour at a time with them three times a week, within a month, and then they’re generally ready to be adopted.
