TMSG: Store Owner Refused To Kick Out Homeless Guy, Then Saw Boom In Sales

Brad Keiller is the the owner of Nomad Donuts in San Diego, California. Recently, his response to a customer on Yelp went viral online.

It wasn’t bad, for Keiller, in fact it all turned out to be really good. Keiller jumped online to Yelp.com and saw a 1-star review from a frequent customer. The review, which has since been removed, called out Nomad Donuts for letting homeless man Raymond “Ray” Taylor live in the area, particularly on the shop’s wall for the past year.

Keiller wasn’t mean, but he told the customer that Taylor did not harm anyone writing,

“I know I probably lose some business . . . possibly yours too . . . because of my choice not to chase him away. But I WON’T. He’s not looking for handouts and he tries not to bother anyone. If you stop and talk with him, maybe you’ll come to like him too.”

The message started to make rounds on the Internet gaining viral momentum, shortly after, Keiller’s shop was receiving many new customers in show of support and their want to help.

Keiller started a GoFundMe for Taylor for all of those who want to help him, which has raised $5,555, surpassing his $1,000 goal.
