Jo’s Top 5 Performances from the CMA Awards

What a night in country music! Ran by the ladies of the country music world Carrie, Dolly and Reba did a great job hosting and I loved how Carrie called they her She-roes..totally going to steal that saying, but for my Top 5 Performances from last night..

  1. Reba- “Fancy” First off, you sounded phenomenal and didn’t miss a beat! She is a true entertainer and on top of nailing the performance she had several outfit changes…ON STAGE! Reba, you have my heart!
  2. Chris Stapleton & P!nk- First goosebumps of the night. They sounded amazing together, I’m a fan of both and so happy to see them on stage together, I’d happily pay to see them live together.
  3. Opening Performance- Women of Country Music- Need I say more.
  4. Brooks & Dunn with Brothers Osborne- “Hard Working Man” A group of gentleman that blew the roof off! And Johns guitar work…mind blown.
  5. All the ladies- “Girl Crush” – Each artist from New Artist of the Year Ashley McBryde to Maddie & Tae to Runaway June, then joined by Little Big Town, absolutely awesome!

My OMG moment, when Gretchen Wilson came on stage to sing “Redneck Woman,” she’s still got it and it was great to see her take the stage during the opening segment surrounded by other woman who are country music greats.

Honorable mention, Nicole Kidman busting a move and seeing her sing along to Luke Combs “Beer Never Broke My Heart.” #MomentOfTheNight
