Justin Moore Scores Eighth No. 1 Single

Justin Moore just scored his eighth career No. 1 single with “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home.” The song hit the top of the Mediabase chart this week (September 2).

The song, written by Jeremy StoverPaul Digiovanni and Chase McGill alongside Moore himself, was the lead single off his fifth studio album, Late Nights & Longnecks. The album, released April 26, featured fan-favorites like “Why We Drink” and “Someday I Gotta Quit.”

“I’m so very thankful for country radio, my team, and the fans,” Moore says in a post shared to social media. “Thank you so much for your talents, and tireless work on my behalf. I feel so blessed for this song to have been given this platform. This never gets old. You guys are the best. Cheers!

The No. 1 hit, “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home” is a ballad honoring military service members and first-responders. The music video for the song shows first-responders and military members in action as well as a school emergency. The video, which can be seen below was directed by former EMT, Cody Villalobos, who uses his real-life fire fighters and former police officers in the video.

“Someday I Gotta Quit” is Moore’s most recent No. 1 single following his 2017 hit, “Somebody Else Will” off his 2016 album, Kinda Don’t Care.
