At around 6:20 p.m. on August 31st, police were dispatched to the intersection of Saint Joseph Street and East Saint Patrick Street for a report of a motorcycle that had collided with a truck. Life saving measures had been initiated on the motorcyclist, however, the man died from his injuries at the scene. The motorcycle rider is identified as 23-year-old Tallon Brey of Rapid City. After speaking to witnesses, police determined that the motorcycle was travelling southbound on Saint Joseph Street. As the motorcycle entered the intersection, it was struck by a pickup that was travelling east on E. Saint Patrick Street. The collision pushed the motorcycle into a second pickup truck. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
