Jason Aldean Cancels Gulf Coast Jam Show Due To Illness

Jason Aldean unfortunately had to cancel his set in Panama City Beach, Florida on Saturday August 31. He was scheduled to be the final act at the Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam, but instead was stuck dealing with a stomach virus.

The country star took to social media to break the news to fans. “I was really hoping I’d be able to play tonight at [Gulf Coast Jam], but unfortunately I’m down for the count with a stomach virus,” Aldean explained. “It’s just not in the cards for us this year. Hope to be back as soon as I can. Thank you to everyone who came out.”

When one fan complained commenting about how they wish they would’ve known sooner, Aldean replied assuring them he’s done his very best. “I was trying up until 9:30 to get it together to play for u guys,” Aldean responded. “Bags of fluids, shots of finnegran and B-12, popping Zofran. We waited that long because we didn’t want to cancel. We finally didn’t have a choice. Sorry for the inconvenience but we were trying everything.”

Apparently Aldean’s wife, Brittany Aldean, was also dealing with similar stomach virus symptoms. She commented on her husband’s post applauding him for attempting to get well enough to perform. “It’s been two solid days of [sickness] in our household…and props to you, babe, for trying to pull yourself together. I can’t even make it out of bed. You’re stronger than most.”

Aldean’s next show is on September 5 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. After a few days of rest, let’s hope he’ll be back feeling refreshed and healthy again.
