Carrie Underwood & Joan Jett Tease Sunday Night Football Theme Song

Hut! Hut! Carrie Underwood is at it again, kicking off the NFL football season. This time, however, she has teamed up with rock and roll legend, Joan Jett.

Carrie shared the teaser clip on her Instagram saying, “Tune inSeptember 8th! @JoanJett@SNFonNBC.” The video is all the hype we need to set a calendar reminder. See the video for yourself below.

In the meantime, here are 7 Facts you need to know before Sunday.

1.    Sunday Night Football launched its first broadcast in 2006.

2.    From 2006 to 2015, SNF’s theme song was based on Joan Jett’s “I Hate Myself For Loving You” and was titled “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night.”

3.    Carrie has been singing a different tune for the past three years.

4.    2019 is the first season of the show where a song collaboration has been featured as the opener.

5.   The footage for the opener was shot in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, marking the first time in 14 years that the opening was filmed inside a stadium.

6.   As in past years, various NFL players will appear in the opening alongside Underwood and Jett.

7.   The full opening will debut on Sept. 8 when the Steelers take on the New England Patriots.
