Watch Blake Shelton’s Live Debut Of ‘Hell Right’ In The Rain

Blake Shelton performed his latest single, “Hell Right” for the first time ever last Saturday (August 17) at Gillette Stadium during his opening set for the king of country, George Strait.

The debut performance came towards the end of his set around the same time a huge storm blew in. Shelton took to Instagram to share a video of the unforgettable moment following the show. “Gillette Stadium with @georgestrait in the rain…Hell right!” Shelton captioned the video.

“Hell Right” featuring Trace Adkins was just recently released last Friday (August 18). The track was released following Shelton’s previous No. 1 single, “God’s Country.” Initially, Shelton reveals that he didn’t have any plans to record new music. However, once he heard the song through fully, he knew he had to record it.

“The first time I ever heard ‘Hell Right,’ [producer] Scott Hendricks sent it over to me– and we had pretty much decided that we were finished recording for a while and I wasn’t even think about it,” Shelton shared with Nash Country Daily. “But he said that Hardy had written a song and he wanted me to hear it, so with the success of ‘God’s Country’ and just knowing how talented that guy is, I thought, ‘Man, I better at least listen to it even though I don’t see myself going in and recording it.'”

Shelton continues on to say, “About three-quarters of the way through the song, I decided, ‘Oh my god, I’m not done recording. I’ve gotta go cut this song. It’s just so much fun and just so infectious. It seems like something that would be great to have out this summer, like, let’s do this thing, let’s get it out now.'”
