Brantley Gilbert Releases Powerful New Song ‘Bad Boy’

Brantley Gilbert just dropped a new song titled “Bad Boy” today (August 2). The song comes off his fifth studio album set to come out later this fall called Fire & Brimstone.

As much as fans love a good party anthem from Gilbert like “The Weekend” or “Kick It In The Sticks,” they equally, if not more so, appreciate his powerful deep cut tracks like this one. “Bad Boy” gives an honest and open inside look into Gilbert’s past.

“‘Bad Boy’ is about as real as it gets for me….It’s a reminder that no matter where you are in life, it’s never too late to be the person you wanna be….I think it’s songs like this that set #fireandbrimstone apart from anything else I’ve done…..#badboy is out Friday….” Gilbert shared about the new song on Twitter.

Further, he also opens up writing, “Every line in this song is the truth….Amber and I haven’t always had the easiest of journeys but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world…. It takes a special kind of heart to love a #badboy…. This one’s for y’all.”

“Bad Boy” follows up Gilbert’s release of his heartfelt song, “Man That Hung The Moon.” This song was written to prepare for the day that Gilbert’s children would see his flaws. He explains, “I wanted them to have a song that they could listen to and know, ‘At one point, you’re gonna figure out I’m not a superhero, and you’re gonna need more than me. Hopefully I’ve done my job well enough to show you that when that time comes, there is a man who really ddi hang the moon and who’s got your back now, and always will.'”

Gilbert’s out on the road this summer for his “Not Like Us Tour” alongside special guests Michael Ray and Lindsay Ell. You can grab tickets to a show coming near you here.
