Video Shows Woman Resisting Arrest Over $80 Ticket

In camera footage obtained by TV station KOCO, an Oklahoma cop can be seen trying to get a driver to sign an $80 ticket for a broken tail light this month. In the video, the driver was refusing and started to get aggressive towards the officer.

The 65-year-old driver Debra Hamil is heard in the video saying “I don’t think I deserve to pay $80 for something that is fixable – and I can fix it, if that’s all you want me to do.” And that’s when the officer tried to arrest Hamil, but she resisted arrest.

In the video, you can see Hamil roll up her video and shout at the officer and then drive off. Ultimately, the officer had to shoot the taser at the woman who then finally was arrested. Hamil is now facing a felony charge of assaulting a policy officer and misdemeanor charge of resisting an officer.
