Burglary

On July 28th at around 11:00 p.m., police were dispatched to a business in the 2600 block of E. Saint Andrew Street for a report of a burglary in progress. It was reported that movement had been detected on the business’s security cameras and a shirtless male was seen attempting to break into the business. After arrival, police located a shirtless male sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot of the business. He was ordered out of the vehicle. As police attempted to detain him in handcuffs, he went on the fight with police. An officer deployed their Taser on the man and police were able to place him in handcuffs. Based on his continued combative nature with police, he was placed in the WRAP safety restraint device. The man was identified as 67-year-old Ross Bettleyoun of Wanblee, and he was placed under arrest for 3rd Degree Burglary, 3rd Degree Vandalism, Obstruction, and Possession of Burglary tools. Bettleyoun was transported to the Pennington County Jail.
