TMSG: High School Football Team Went To Birthday Party For Boy With Autism

Christian Larsen begged his mom to throw him a ninth birthday party so he could invite all of his friends. She finally gave in and sent out invites to all of the classmates on his list. Some time passed and she only received one RSVP of the list she sent out.

She decided to post to Facebook about the lack of responses for advice from other parents on what to do. Her friend who lives in South Texas reached out saying he could help! Ben-David Blythe was unable to attend the party himself but he reached out to his friend who coaches football at Nampa High School in Meridian, Idaho. The coach and entire team were eager and on board with the idea to surprise Christian at his party.

When Christian’s party rolled around in June, the entire team showed up in full uniform chanting his name. Christian was both shocked and overly excited. The entire team stayed to play catch with Christian eat some cake. Christian’s mom said this was the greatest birthday he’s ever had!
