TMSG: Soldier’s Mom Launches Nonprofit To Give Sneakers To U.S. Troops

mom from Pennsylvania is on a mission that all started from a simple phone call from her son who is a soldier deployed in Afghanistan. Deborah Hausladen’s son mentioned that he needed new sneakers because his were wearing out.

She soon found out other men in his platoon also needed new shoes which was when she created Sneakers for Soldiers.

Started in April of 2018 she has now sent over 200 pairs of sneakers to soldiers in need. Her program is so in demand she has a waiting list of soldiers who need new shoes. They carefully choose shoes that are tailored for soldiers taking into account the weather and the types of conditions their feet are enduring.

The troops are so grateful for Hausladen some have even sent thank you notes!
