Bobby Bones has shared his life background on The Bobby Bones Show and in his first book Bare Bones: I’m Not Lonely If You’re Reading This, a memoir.
He’s been very open about how he grew up. His father left at a very young age and had issues with alcohol, and his mother also had a lot of issues with drugs and alcohol, eventually passing from her battles. So alcohol issues are all too common for Bones and in his life. Due to this, he’s never had a sip of alcohol. He hasn’t wanted to push the limits of his genetics and potentially get on a similar path of his parents.
However, that doesn’t mean there haven’t been temptations in his life. He has had many opportunities to take drinks of alcohol, especially expensive ones through gifts from his well-known friends. Recently he was on an international flight for the filming of Running Wild With Bear Grylls and was offered champagne. He was very tempted to take the drink to celebrate what he was about to go do. He ultimately decided against it, but it made him think of doing it for future celebrations.
