A day at the beach turned into a scary situation for one family of a little boy who drifted out to sea on a raft. Declan O’Connor found himself drifting to sea when winds picked up and began to pull his toy unicorn raft out into the Atlantic Ocean.
Tony Young, local rescue chief, sent a boat less than 15 minutes after they were called. The rescue crew gave O’Conner gave a life jacket and helmet, and he was reunited with his family. The team rescued around six oversized pool floats last year; they encourage you to keep an eye on your floats!
