Community Helps Family See Twin Brothers Graduate From Two Separate Schools

Twin brothers graduated from two separate West Virginia county schools on the same night, however, thanks to the community the family was able to attend both ceremonies. Johnny and Jeff Boggess are twins who were born very early at 27-weeks. Johnny has cerebral palsy graduated from Nitro High School while his brother Jeff, who is deaf, Capital High’s School for the Deaf.

When school officials found out about the overlap of graduation ceremonies they knew they had to do something to help the family. The plan was put in place where Johnny would be the first to graduate from Nitro High School. Then with the help of an escort from local police the family and Johnny would make there way to Jeff’s ceremony. The family was able to successfully attend both graduations!
