Before Abby Anderson sets out as the special guest on Rob Thomas’s Chip Tooth Smile Tour, she released her follow-up single “Good Lord.” As part of Bobby Bones Class Of 2019, Anderson joins other country artists Tenille Townes, Rachel Wammack, Lauren Jenkins, and Caylee Hammack as ones to watch for 2019. Anderson called into The Bobby Bones Show to talk about the inspiration behind her latest single sharing that it came from her childhood.
The phrase “Good Lord” was used often around her during her childhood especially with the women in her life. Sometimes it was meant in response to something bad happening, but most of the time it was a positive phrase. Anderson wanted to convey that in her song “Good Lord” as she sings about the love in her life. She shared with Bones that she has a great man in her life right now and this song totally portrays her feelings about him and her life right now.
