Kelly Clarkson’s Husband Surprised Her On Tour & Her Reaction Was Priceless

Kelly Clarkson received the best surprise ever during the final stop of her “Meaning of Life” tour this weekend.

The “Already Gone” singer performed the last show of her trek in Greenville, South Carolina, on Saturday (March 30), and was met with the biggest shocker when her husband Brandon Blackstock appeared onstage with a guitar in his hands. To Clarkson’s amazement, Blackstock had secretly stepped in for the musician’s guitarist as she was closing out her set with “Piece by Piece,” catching the artist completely off-guard when she turned and realized it was her hubby the whole time.

While the hilarious moment brought the American Idol winner to tears of joy and laughter, the songbird addressed the surprise and express the bittersweetness of wrapping her jaunt. “I’m so sad. This is our last show. Here’s to literally my favorite tour, totally gonna cry,” an emotional Clarkson told the crowd. “My husband just totally surprised me playing a faux guitar on ‘Piece By Piece’ and I lost my mind in the tent back there. It’s totally fine. Get your crap together.”

She added tearfully: “This has been the most amazing tour that I’ve ever been a part of, getting to tour a record I’ve wanted to make since I was a little kid. And just being so phenomenally blessed. I come from nothing. I always get like this, I cry all the time.”

Clarkson’s “Meaning of Life” tour, her first in three years, launched in January. Since it kicked off, the powerhouse has had nothing but stunning performances, from brave mashups of Cardi BPost Malone, and Lauryn Hill (here) to covering Brandi Carlile‘s anthemic track “The Joke” (here).
