Carrie Underwood Shares Makeup-Free Selfie For Empowering New Post

Carrie Underwood has admitted that she’s having a hard time “bouncing back” after welcoming her second son, Jacob Bryan, 10 weeks ago, but the country titan is a work in progress and she’s happy to share her journey with fans.

On Saturday (March 30), the American Idol alum took to Instagram to share an empowering post, which included a makeup-free selfie. “When your face matches your shirt = you had a good workout!” Underwood wrote in the caption alongside a shot of her a pink tank top that read: “I’m doing this for me.” “Unless your shirt is blue…then maybe you should be concerned! ???? (sorry, total mom joke). I took these pics after my gym sesh yesterday (today I’m cleaning this mess of a house, which I totally consider to be my Saturday workout).”

Underwood’s new post comes after she told fans that she was having a difficult time readjusting to her body after Jacob, but wanted to be less hard on herself. “I promise to stop analyzing every angle and every curve and every pound and every meal,” the 36-year-old admitted to fans. “I’m going to take it day by day, smile at the girl in the mirror, and work out because I love this body and all it has done and will continue to do!”

Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, who recently became an American citizen, have two children: their recent addition, Jacob, who was born in late January, and their 4-year-old son, Isaiah.
