Employees at Silver Street Tavern in Maine were shocked when they received a $2,000 tip on a $48 check. Samantha Clark, who waited on the couple who left the tip, says she doesn’t know why they let such a generous gratuity.
The older couple who dined at the Silver Street Tavern, asked to speak with the manager so they could move their bill from the table to the bar so they could cash out. Samantha originally thought she was going to get in trouble because according to Samantha “why else would you ask to speak to the manager”?
The couples only request was that the entire staff split the $2,000 which leaves each employee with $140.
