On March 17th at around 1:05 a.m., police were dispatched to 1320 Mount Rushmore Road for a report of a robbery that had just taken place. On arrival, police spoke with an employee of the business who stated that an unknown male suspect had entered the business, pointed a pistol at her, and took money from the cash register. The suspect then departed the business with an undisclosed amount of money before police could arrive. The suspect is described by witnesses as a slender Native American male, standing approximately 6’0” wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans. Anyone with any information about the robbery or the identity of the suspect is encouraged to contact Detective Steve Neavill at 394-4134. They can also send an anonymous tip by texting ‘RCPD’ and the information to 847411. Police continue to investigate the armed robbery.
